I study how complex systems arise, adapt, and sometimes break, whether in neural circuits, living organisms, or artificial intelligence.

Trained as a researcher at the Salk Institute with a 1st-author publication in PNAS. Now independent, I write about the places where biology and AI meet (and what they can teach each other).
